Sorry everyone for the withdrawals. The whole ordeal has been disheartening to say the least. It could have been worse, though, so we try to look on the bright side. We didn't lose the site and all of the information will still be there.
For those that didn't see Mike's post on CCE before we took the site down, someone hacked into the site and planted spammy invisible links. Search engines frown on invisible links so the site was punished by Google. It's how many people found CCE in the past but the hacker's links stole that from us. We've always wanted the community to grow, but if people can't find us that won't happen

To make sure everything that the hacker did was removed, we backed up photos, posts & comments at CCE. Then we wiped CCE clean (boy, that was a scary moment) and rebuilt everything else from scratch, including the site design and database. You may notice a few changes when it's back online - we figured we might as well take the opportunity to make the changes to the site design now. The last thing left to do is re-upload all of the photos. With over 3,000 photos (including the huge panoramics), it's taking a while.
If all goes well, CCE will be back online for tomorrow
